Keali’i Reichel – Musical Artist & Kumu Hula
Keali’i is one of Hawai’i’s most popular recording artists, and the award-winning kumu hula (hula teacher) of Halau Ke’alaokamaile. His music, chant and hula represent the best of traditional and contemporary poetry and dance in Hawai’i today. Along with several of his peer musicians from Hawai’i, Keali’i was also instrumental in getting the prestigious Grammy Awards to include a Hawaiian Music category for the first time in 2005.
